Volunteer Information Session | Brewster | May 3
Absolute Hospice will be holding a volunteer information session at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Brewster Friends Church, 139 Main Street SW, Brewster Ohio 44613.
The information session is free for anyone interested in becoming a hospice volunteer.
Volunteers do not need to have experience in healthcare, just a caring heart. During the session you'll receive an overview of hospice care and have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers related to volunteering positions.
Hospice volunteers provide both direct patient support and behind-the-scenes assistance. Volunteers can lend direct support to patients and their families by providing companionship, relieving a caregiver, playing music or participating in other art activities, providing veteran to veteran support, and much more. Those who prefer less-direct patient care duties can make lap blankets or other crafts, or provide administrative assistance in the hospice offices. Days, times and locations are flexible.
